Czech party was represented at the meeting by Vice-Chairs of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions Mr. Jaromír Jermář and Mr. Zdeněk Berka, senators Mrs. Zuzana Baudyšová and Mr. Václav Homolka, Czech Ambassador to Slovenia Mrs. Věra Zemanová, Committee secretary Mrs. Jana Hauserová, deputy head of mission Mr. Jan Beneš and interpreter Mr. Petr Blažek.

The Czech delegation was welcomed by the President of the Slovenian National Council, Mr. Alojz Kovšca, and representatives of the National Council Commission for Culture, Science, Education and Sport, headed by Mr. Branimir Štrukelj. The discussion focused on funding of culture and care of cultural and historical monuments. Both sides agreed on the need to increase the budget for culture. Slovenian representatives have drawn attention to their good experience with European funds, which have significantly helped Slovenia to restore and protect its cultural heritage. The senators subsequently shared with their counterparts experiences in inclusive education.

The delegation also visited ombudsman of the Republic of Slovenia Mrs. Vlasta Nussdorfer, with whom the Czech representatives exchanged views on the issues of the legal status and administrative functioning of the Ombudsman's Office, migration and social issues. The delegation was also welcomed by Slovenian minister of culture Mr. Tone Peršak, who emphasized the very good relations and cooperation with the Czech Republic in the field of culture and protection of cultural monuments. Both parties subsequently discussed the ways of financing and organizing the cultural sector. The talks in Slovenia ended with discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
