Prime Minister Babiš at Bled Strategic Forum 2021

On September 1, 2021. the Czech Republic’s Prime Minister Andrej Babiš participated at panel discussion at Bled Strategic Forum. The main issues discussed by European and EU leaders were future of Europe, EU enlargement and migration. These topics are closely related to the current Slovenian EU Presidency priorities.
 

Future of Europe was the title of the 16th Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) this year. The leaders‘ panel of European leaders and EU high representatives was moderated by the political analyst Marko Balažic. Panelists discussed key issues, such as risks and opportunities for Europe’s future, including further enlargement of EU. It is imperative to strenghten resilience of the EU, as well as a better readiness for future crises.

Also, the leaders focused on migration and EU enlargement especially with regard to Western Balkans countries due to their geographical position which is strategic for European security. The current situation in Afghanistan was discussed, too.

Later, similar issues were discussed by former presidents, prime ministers, think-tank representatives, EPs and other personalities.
