In her concluding speech at the end of the Czech presidency in the Board of Advisors of ITF the Ambassador Věra Zemanová congratulated ITF on receiving the status of a specialised EU agency and appreciated the work of its director Mr Tomaž Lovrenčič, his deputy Mrs Sabina Boštjančič and the employees of ITF in the field of human security enhancement. This year ITF celebrated 20 years of its existence during which it helped more than 50 000 people, provided training to other 600 000 people and implemented more than 3 000 humanitarian projects throughout 31 countries. The Ambassador reminded that the Czech Republic had participated in the activities of ITF since the establishment of ITF and had financially contributed to a number of projects realized in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Czech presidency and the support provided by the Czech Republic were also appreciated in the speeches given by the State Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Mr Dobran Božic and the Head of European Commission Representation in Slovenia Mr Zoran Stančič. The Presidency for the next year was taken by Germany. The Board of Advisors adopted the conclusions of the preceding meeting. The director of ITF Mr T. Lovrenčič introduced the new possibilities of ITF in connection with obtaining the status of specialised EU agency. The deputy S. Boštjančič presented the ITF 2018 Intermediate Report as well as the ITF Portfolio of Projects for 2019.
