Working visit of Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar to Prague

Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar paid a working visit to Prague on 14 October 2020, where he met with Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš.

During the bilateral talks, the two foreign ministers spoke mainly about further progress in managing the COVID-19 pandemic and in this context greatly appreciated the current format of CENTRAL 5 cooperation, in which the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary coordinate individual anti-epidemic measures.

Ministers also agreed that close cooperation between Central European countries is key to further economic development in the region. Minister Anže Logar also expressed interest in closer cooperation between the Czech Republic and Slovenia in the logistics sector.

The main topic of conversations between Minister Anže Logar and Prime Minister Andrej Babiš was, in addition to COVID-19 situation, the development of other forms of cooperation in the Central European region.

Due to the epidemiological situation and the restrictive measures adopted, the planned visit of the Slovenian business delegation and the forthcoming Czech-Slovenian Business Forum were cancelled.

The interview of Czech TV with the Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anže Logar, conducted on the occasion of his visit to Prague, is available on the ČT24 website.
