Invitation to participate in the 51th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Art Lidice 2023

The Czech Embassy in Ljubljana invites Slovenian children and their teachers to participate in the 51th International Children's Exhibition of Fine Art Lidice 2023. The theme of the upcoming year is "DANCE".

The competition and subsequent exhibition is one of the largest in the world, bringing together thousands of children from all over the world every year. In 2023, 20 years will have passed since the adoption of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and it will be the 50th anniversary of the organization International Dance Council CID (The United Nations of Dance) under the auspices of UNESCO.

The Lidice International Children's Art Exhibition was founded in 1967 to honour the memory of child victims from the Czech village of Lidice, murdered by the German Nazis, and all other children who died in the war. In 1973, this originally national exhibition became an international exhibition and over the time a well-known exhibition literally all over the world.

Participation in the exhibition is open only to children aged 4 to 16, both as individuals and as representatives of schools and art clubs. People with disabilities can participate at any age.

Closing date of the 51st ICEFA Lidice is February 10, 2023!

More information on the conditions of the competition can be found on the organizer's website.
