Invitation to the exhibition "Czech Footprints" in Sokol Hall Škofja Loka

The exhibition "Czech Footprints" about the historical ties between Slovenians and Czechs was prepared by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana in cooperation with the Prague Castle Administration on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The exhibition presents the close ties between the two nations and the Czech personalities from the fields of architecture, music, theatre, film, photography, science, medicine, etc., who have influenced everyday life and have made an indelible mark on Slovenian history.

The 22 panels of the exhibition present personalities of Czech origin who have successfully contributed to the building of Slovenian national identity, culture, education, infrastructure and, last but not least, the sports movement. The vast majority of them have even found a new home and put their roots down here.

The exhibition in Škofja Loka was organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic together with the Zavod 973 and the Municipality of Škofja Loka. The exhibition will be open at the Sokol Hall Škofja Loka, Mestni trg 17, until 26 February 2023.
