The concerts are annually organized by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana in cooperation with the parish of Trnovo in Ljubljana and the municipality of Škofja Loka. This year, the women's chamber choir CARMINA BOHEMICA from Prague, who is one of the leading choirs in Prague, received the invitation from the Ambassador.

The Slovenian audience had the opportunity to listen to Czech and European classics (B. Smetana, A. Dvořák, Z. Lukáš, W.A. Mozart and others) as well as some modern authors, such as K.A. Andresen (Norway), C. Franck (Belgium), G. Fauré (France), M. Lauridsen (USA), B. Britten (UK). The Czech and Moravian folk songs were also included in the program. The last song of the concert was a Slovenian song.

Ambassador J. Chmiel dedicated both concerts to the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Mr. Jaroslav Kubera and invited the audience to commemorate this important Czech politician with a minute of silence. Also the priest Tone Kompare mentioned the legacy of J. Kubera during the mass held before the concert in the Church of St. John the Baptist in Ljubljana – Trnovo and invited the believers to pray „Lord´s Prayer“ in the name of J. Kubera.

Ambassador J. Chmiel invited CARMINA BOHEMICA choir to the embassy and thanked them for their excellent representation of the Czech Republic and Czech culture in Slovenia. On this occasion, the choirmaster Věra Hrdinková wrote a condolence to Mr. J. Kubera in the Book of Condolences.
