The lecture will be dedicated to the work, personality and life of Adriena Šimotová, who is one of the most acclaimed figures in Czech visual art in the second half of the twentieth century and at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The parallels of the artist's work with some themes of existential philosophy and the philosophy of personalism will also be highlighted.

The lecture will take place on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 5 pm in the Modra soba conference hall at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ljubljana (Aškerčeva 2, 5th floor).The lecture will be held in Czech and translated into Slovenian.

The event is held in cooperation with MGLC Ljubljana.
