Twenty-eight schools and children's centers were registered for ICEFA Lidice 2017 this year and 411 paintings, drawings and prints were delivered to Lidice. The ambassador of the Czech Republic to Slovenia, Mrs. Věra Zemanová, together with Slovenian minister of education, Mrs. Maja Makovec Brenčič, granted the diplomas and the medals to the most successful young artists. The jury chose twenty-five the most successful paintings – twenty-one of them have been awarded with the Honorable Mentions and four of them with the "Rose of Lidice" medals. The number of the participating schools is growing year by year and the ceremony is very popular with children and their parents and teachers.
