This year advent concerts were performed by pupils and students of Leos Janacek‘s Elementary school of Art which is one of the oldest art school in Moravia and is unique for its cimbalom groups. The program of the concerts consisted of well and less known Czech and Moravian carols, Christmas songs of Czech origin and a Christmas music of renaissance and baroque time. Both concerts, visited by diplomats, Czechs living in Slovenia and Slovenian cultural community had a very positive feedback. At the beginning of both cultural events, the ambassador of the Czech Republic to Slovenia, Mrs. Věra Zemanová, had a short speech in which she offered her thanks to the municipal authority of Škofja Loka and the Ljubljana – Trnovo Parish and wished all the audience a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
