The International Scientific Conference Entitled ″From Soča to Visegrad″ and the Vernissage of the Exhibition ″The Photographers of the War 1914-1918″

On April 25, 2017, in the premises of the museum of the city of Nova Gorica in the castle of Kromberk the conference of the first world war took place on the basis of the central european perspective.

The conference was  held in the frame of the Polish leadership of the Visegrad group. On its organisation the Embassies of all V 4 coutnries took part  as well as the city of Nová Gorica, University in Nova Gorica ans Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU). At the end of the conference the vernissage of the Exhibition  ″The photographers of the war 1914-1918″ took place. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ljubljana prepared this exhibition and it was compeleted with the referates of historians at the confrerence.

The Exhibition introduces the photos of three Czech pohotographers Gustav Brož, Jan Myšička and Jenda Rajman from the WWI. The Exhibition was opened by the Ambassador of the Czehc Republic in Slovenia Mrs. Věra Zemanová together with Mrs. Danila Zavratnika, the dean of the University in Nova Gorica as well as Mr. Matej Arčon, the mayor of the city of Nova Gorica.
