CZEXPATS Interview: Michaela Poláková, singer and composer

Around 100,000 people of Czech citizenship or origin currently lives in the United Kingdom. Among them, we can find many important personalities, but also individuals with unique personal stories. We decided to introduce you the most interesting of them in our project “CZEXPATS Interviews”, this time with with singer and composer Michaela Poláková.

Michaela Polaková is a composer, singer, songwriter and pianist based in Essex, England. She studied songwriting, pop music and contemporary classical composition at The Prague Conservatoire and the University of East London before obtaining a Masters in composition from King’s College London. She recently released the critically acclaimed album 'Ellis Island' through Warner Music, recorded with singer and friend Natalie Kocab and featuring Nick McCabe (The Verve) on guitar and Fernando Saunders (Lou Reed) on bass.
