Gala evening on the occasion of new performance of Dvořák’s Rusalka in London

On March 1, 2023, in cooperation with the Czech Philharmonic, the Czech Embassy held a gala evening on the occasion of the new performance of Antonín Dvořák’s opera Rusalka at the Royal Opera House, in the presence of the Chief Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic, Semyon Bychkov, and General Manager Robert Hanč.

Ambassador Marie Chatardová welcomed honored guests from the ranks of ministers and representatives of the business and cultural spheres. Representatives of the Czech Philharmonic spoke about their artistic plans and ambitions both on the Czech Republic and in the United Kingdom. Talented flutist Daisy Noton accompanied by a piano from the Royal Academy of Music delivered a brilliant musical performance of first movement from Martinů's Sonata for flute and piano and her own interpretation of the well-known lunar aria from Rusalka. The great-great-grandson of the composer Antonín Dvořák also attended the dinner.
