The film deals with the issue of total deployment during World War II and forced labour in Nazi Germany and the occupied countries. He also recalls the fate of his own great-grandfather. The screening of the film was followed by a discussion between the author and Professor Jakub Beneš from UCL and the audience. More than 50 people attended the event — raising £520 for the Ukraine Crisis Appeal, organised by the British Red Cross.
