Ambassador Libor Sečka hosted a concert from the oeuvre of Antonín Dvořák, performed by members of Czech Philharmonic, violinist Irena Herajnová and pianist David Mareček.
The Music room of the residence became once again a classical music venue. The audience appreciated the heart-felt performance of one of the first violinists of Czech Philharmonic, Irena Herajnová. David Mareček, pianist and at the same time Executive Director of the Czech Philharmonic, introduced Dvořák´s works, Humoresque, Romance in F minor and Sonatina in G major through interesting stories about the circumstances of their creation.
The concert was a part of series through which the Embassy of the Czech Republic wishes to introduce Czech classical music and its performers to the audiences in London. It also marks the nascent cooperation between the Embassy and Škoda UK and other partners.
