Czech start-ups among the best at CE Start-ups 2019 London!

The 5th Central European Start-ups 2019, one of the projects of the Czech economic diplomacy has just taken place in London. Five innovative Czech start-ups presented their products and vision to British investors, banks and corporate clients. The Czech start-up Motionlab was selected in the top 3 out of the 20 companies by the jury of experts!

The Central European Start-ups Day 2019 event took place on 1st October at the London headquarters of PWC. It was organised by the Czech Embassy in cooperation with PWC, CzechInvest London office and the Hungarian, Polish and Slovak Embassies. The selection of Czech start-ups is chosen by Prague Startup Center.

One of the Czech companies ImpromptMe, provided their conference app. so that participants were able to schedule 1:1 meetings with representatives of start-ups and find the agenda on their devices. Motionlab firm introduced its platform for producing personalized videos for marketing purposes. A marketing focused solution that integrates advertising, CRM and data web analytics was presented by Roivenue. Another Czech start-up was SmartGuide, which offers a B2B2C platform that turns a mobile phone into a personal guide. The final Czech company SMUP-UQ introduced their simulation tool for engineering and product optimization.

The presentation of 20 ambitious start-ups was followed by a speech by Ronald Hendrikx from the global law firm Bird & Bird, which outlined the challenges that start-ups face. The event was then concluded with the announcement, by the expert jury, of the three best start-ups, of which one was the Czech company Motionlab. Congratulations on their great success and representation of the Czech Republic! This was followed by a business lunch and networking space.

On the eve of the event, a networking reception with London ICT experts and investors took place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kensington. Guests also had the opportunity to visit the Czech Innovation Expo organized by the Czech Center in London, which showcased some of the products from Czech inventors over the past century.
