Strong Czech participation at the 2019 DSEI Global Arms Fair in London

The defence and security industry of the Czech Republic was strongly represented at the DSEI Global Arms Fair in London. A total of 16 participating Czech companies were supported by the Czech Ambassador to the United Kingdom, together with representatives of Czech ministries and the Czech Defence and Security Industry Association. In their presence, a cooperation agreement was signed between a Czech and Israeli company.

The London Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) is one of the world’s leading industry events. Held every two years, it alternates with the Farnborough Aerospace Exhibition. Thanks to the official participation of the Czech Republic, represented by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech companies enjoyed substantial representation at DSEI 2019.

“DSEI is a great opportunity to reach potential UK and global clients and partners. Despite Britain leaving the EU, it will remain an important security partner in the future. The UK has the largest defence budget in Europe, already spending more than 2% of GDP today. It even intends to increase this share and is planning a number of new projects in the fields of aviation, naval and, ground forces.  The DSEI provides a space to establish cooperation with other international partners. For example, it is great that already today, a leading Czech cable service manufacturer, Ray Service, is signing a cooperation agreement with Beth-El Israel to locate the production of filter systems for military vehicles to the Czech Republic”, the Czech Ambassador to the United Kingtom Libor Sečka said.  The contract was signed as part of the official program at the Czech stand by Jakub Gabriel, Director of Ray Service, and Jehudah Ferlauer, Head of International Sales and Marketing at Beth-El, in the presence of representatives of the Czech Embassy in London and the State of Israel. Filter systems designed by Beth - El provide chemical, biological, radiation and nuclear air protection for armoured vehicle crews. The signed partnership enables Ray Service to participate in Beth–El’s global projects.
