Ambassador Chatardová took part in a memorial ceremony for Czechoslovak soldiers at the Brookwood cemetery

On Sunday, May 14, Ambassador Marie Chatardová took part in a traditional memorial event to honor Czechoslovak soldiers from the Second World War at the Brookwood Military Cemetery.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, military attachés of the Czech Embassy and other countries, representatives of the British King and army and other guests. Ambassador Chatardová delivered a speech and together with military attaché brig. gen. Vratislav Beran laid wreaths in the military and civilian parts of the cemetery.

The ceremony was accompanied by a guard of honor performed by scout troops from Skuteč and military cadets from Frimley and Camberley Cadet Corps. Children from Czech and Slovak schools concluded it by performing the anthems of Czechia, Slovakia and the United Kingdom. Memorial Association for Free Czechoslovak Veterans was, as in the past, the organizer of the event.
