Annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Birmingham

Representatives of the delegation of the Parliament of the Czech Republic took part in the 29th Annual session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Birmingham, held on July 1-6.
 

The intraparliamentary delegation of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, which consisted of representatives of both the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, was led by Member of Parliament Jan Bauer.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is an international security organization that was created in 1995 by the transformation of the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe. Its mandate includes issues such as arms control, the promotion of human rights, freedom of the press, and free and fair elections. It has 57 member states, mainly from Europe and the former Eastern Bloc.
