The conference had three panels: Truth and Power, The Digital Horizon and, The Future Case for Public Service Media.

After the opening welcome speeches of the Director of BBC Radio and Music, Bob Shennan, the Director General of Czech Radio, René Zavoral and, the Czech Ambassador Libor Sečka, the whole conference was presented by Sir John Tusa, former Director of the BBC World Service with Czechoslovak roots. Among the speakers were two former Czech Foreign Ministers, Jan Kohout and Cyril Svoboda; the President of Radio Free Europe, Thomas Kent; the Director of Reporters Without Borders, Rebecca Vincent; the Director of BBC Radio and Education, James Purnell; the Director of the Reuters Institute at Oxford University, Dr. David Levy; the presenter and correspondent for BBC News, Reeta Chakrabarti; the Distribution Director at Czech Radiocommunications, Marcel Procházka; the President of the European Broadcasting Union, Jean-Paul Philippot and others.

About 150 guests included the directors of European radio stations, journalists, members of the Foreign Press Association, representatives of the EBU, Ambassadors and prominent academics. Many of them took an active role in the debates by raising interesting and important questions.

The conference, initiated by Ambassador Libor Sečka, brought to the attention of the audience that the BBC Radio and Czech Radio are the two oldest radio stations in Europe (Sir John Tusa called them "twins") and was very positively evaluated by both the BBC and Czech Radio and the participants as well.

In the evening, His Excellency Sečka hosted a reception at his residence.
