Consular section – contact details, operations reduction, and public health measures

The operations of the consular section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in London are significantly reduced due to the situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendance in person is allowed by email appointment only and under the conditions that health measures are adhered to.

1. Consular section operation and in-person attendance appointments

To schedule an appointment to attend the consular section in person you need to send an email to consulate.london@embassy.mzv.cz. Without prior request by email and subsequent confirmation by a consular officer attendance at the office will not be possible.

In your email please always include your full name, date of birth, if the applicable date of validity of your Czech passport/ID card, and a brief description of the issue you need to take care of.

Cancellations have to be notified by phone or email. Only such and proper notification can be linked to a new request for a new appointment. We kindly request kind consideration towards other clients, who would be able to attend a possible cancellation.

Phone consultations with clients are mainly to clarify the documents that have to be presented during individual appointments. The overview of the documents is always listed in the respective information section on the embassy’s website.

When attending please be on time for your appointment, so health measures can be adhered to. Late arrival can mean a significant delay to the appointment. When attending, please bring already filled out respective for the application that you will be submitting. Filling out forms at the embassy will cause disturbance and delays to the appointments and will cause obstacles for health measures in place.

2. Public health measures in place during in-person attendance

In the publicly accessible room, no more than two adults can be present at the same time. Unfortunately, the room is not suited to be used as a waiting room at this time. Families are recommended to attend in a way that reduces numbers of family members to the necessary minimum.

There is a requirement to use protective covers of mouth and nose (face mask or at least scarf) for all persons aged 2 and older. It is not allowed to enter the building without a face covering. Upon entry into the building, body temperature will be checked for all persons seeking entry. If you have a fever or elevated temperature please postpone your appointment.

Room disinfection is carried out regularly before the first scheduled appointment. The counter table with the equipment is cleaned and disinfected after the end of each appointment. Hand sanitizer is provided in the room
