Current conditions of entry to the Czech Republic

Effective from 21 September 2020 in accordance with the Ministry of Health Protective Measure, a new high-risk country arrival announcement upon arrival in the Czech Republic has been established.

Before their entry to the Czech Republic, all persons, who in the last 14 days before their travel to the Czech Republic spent more than 12 hours in a country that is not included in the list of countries with a low risk of contagion, are obliged to fill in the electronic Public Health Passenger Locator Form. The Form is available at www.prijezdovyformular.cz (alternatively also at https://plf.uzis.cz/) and it serves as a high-risk country arrival announcement to a regional public health authority.

The list of countries with a low risk of COVID-19 contagion is available here. You can also follow the updated list of countries here.

The following individuals are exempt from the aforementioned obligation:

  • International transport workers
  • EU citizens and third country citizens with long-term or permanent residence permit in an EU country transiting for a period of up to 12 hours through the Czech Republic
  • Diplomats and international organization officials registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic whose stay does not exceed 14 days
  • Individuals who are younger than 5 years
