The father of the project is the Czech Ambassador Libor Sečka. Graphically, the map was created by the Czech firm AdamApp Ltd., special thanks go to the director of its branch in Birmingham, Radek Stejskal.

The Czech map of London currently consists of 15 personalities, whose names are shown in the left column and they also appear on the map in the form of icons with photos. When you click on a photo, it will expand into an article about the particular personality. The map has got Czech and English versions.

Over time, the map will be extended to other personalities and there is also a plan to create Czech map of important places in London.

We believe that the Czech map of London will find a lot of fans and that it will serve as a modern tool of public diplomacy by providing an overview of the exceptional accomplishments of Czechs living abroad, in this case in the United Kingdom.

Technical warnings and recommendations for using the map:

• The map is possible to use in web browsers Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, MS Edge and Internet Explorer 11. Problems may occur with browsers which have not been updated in the last 3 years.
• To zoom in and out, we recommend using the icons + and – at the bottom right, rather than scrolling with the mouse as some inscriptions might then become blurred.
• It is possible to switch between the Czech and English version of the map by clicking on the appropriate icon at the top right (CZ / EN).
