Defence Attaché visited Czechoslovak veteran Benjamin Abeles

On 3rd October 2018, the Czech Defence Attaché, Colonel Jiří Niedoba, and representative of the Memorial Association of Free Czechoslovak Veterans, Mr. John Polak, visited the former member of the Royal Air Force´s 311th and 312th Czechoslovak squadrons, Professor Benjamin Abeles, PhD.

Professor Abeles served in the RAF as a mechanic/armourer during the Second World war.  

Colonel Niedoba handed over a small gift to him and talked with him about his war service and also about his post war scientific achievements.

The Czech Deffence Attaché Office established contact with Prof. Abeles just recently, thanks to the historian-amateur and writer, Dr. Martin Reichl.
