Free Czechoslovak Airforce Association memorial ceremony at Brookwood

On Sunday 30 November 2016 the Commemoration linked with the anniversary of foundation of Czechoslovakia on 28 October 1918 organised by the Free Czechoslovak Airforce Association (FCAFA) took place at the Czechoslovak Memorial in Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey.
Among the attendants at Brookwood were Czechoslovak WW2 veterans, family members and friends of the living and passed away Czechoslovak airmen or soldiers and representatives of the Czech and Slovak Embassies in London.
Defence attachés of the Czech and Slovak Republic Colonel Jiří Svatoš and Colonel Milan Gavlas addressed the attendants with speeches appreciating the role and bravery of the combatants who fought the Nazi tyranny.
At the end of the ceremony all participants enjoyed small refreshments and snacks provided by the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
