On Sunday 29th October 2017 at 2pm, the Free Czechoslovak Airforce Association, along with Defence Attachés of the Embassies of the Czech and Slovak Republics are on the occasion of the National Day of the Czech Republic organising a commemorative ceremony at the Czechoslovak Memorial in the Brookwood Military cemetery where Czechoslovak airmen and soldiers who were stationed in Britain during WW2 are buried.

The memorial is regularly attended by war veterans, their relatives, friends, representatives from the Embassies and all those who wish to pay tribute to the heroes who put their lives at risk, and to those who died, for the freedom of Czechoslovakia.

This time, the ceremony will have a live musical accompaniment. Ms. Jůlie Svěcená (the daughter of the Czech world renowned violinist Jaroslav Svěcený) will play the anthems. For the first time, children from several Czech schools in the UK will attend. They will get an educative introduction about the Czechoslovak war heroes in the UK.

Everyone is warmly welcome. We look forward to seeing a large number of people there.

Address: Brookwood Cemetary, Woking, Surrey GU24 0BL.
