"It was a great honour for me to present the Gratias agit awards. The laureates have managed to spread the good name of the Czech Republic in various fields - be it culture, science, patriotism or humanitarian activities. Among them are people who acquaint the world with our history, translate the works of Czech authors or excel in medicine. They try to tell the world about the Czech Republic in the best possible way," said Minister Lipavský at the award ceremony.

Since 1997, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been awarding the Gratias agit prize to important personalities and organisations that have contributed to spreading the good name of the Czech Republic abroad and that deepen interest in our country and help to create a favourable image of the Czech Republic in the world.

This year's Gratias Agit Awards have a new form of a glass prism with a cut surface, which symbolises the seal. The authors of the artwork are designers Klára Janypková and Tomáš Kučera.
