Reception to mark the launch of the the People in Need office in the UK

On September 12, 2019, ambassador Libor Sečka and the founder and director of People in Need, Mr. Šimon Pánek, welcomed guests on the occasion of the opening of the People in Need office in London.

Diplomats and experts working in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian aid, both from official British institutions and NGOs, attended the reception at the Czech Embassy. People in Need - a non-governmental, non-profit organization - founded in 1992 has gradually established itself as a professional humanitarian organization striving to provide aid in crisis areas and promote respect for human rights around the world. Throughout the 25 of its existence, organization People in Need has become one of the largest non-profit organizations in Central Europe. A today they are opening its office in London. Ambassador Secka recalled the principles and priorities of Czech foreign development cooperation and humanitarian help and emphasized the innovative approach of the Czech government, which has met with a very positive response worldwide.

The guests enjoyed an exhibition of photographs from countries in which organization People in Need implemented its projects (Burma, Congo, Philippines).
