War veteran Col. Zbyšek Nečas - Pemberton celebrated his 96th birthday

On 6th March 2017, the Czech Colonel Zbyšek Nečas - Pemberton Ret., a former member of the RAF 68th Night Fighter Squadron, celebrated his 96th birthday.
 

Colonel Nečas-Pemberton served as a radar operator on Beaufighter and Mosquito night fighters during the Second World War and his bravery also contributed to the fact, that the Czechoslovak night fighters within the 68th Night Fighter Squadron finished the war with twenty-one verified kills, three probable, and additionally, they damaged seven enemy planes. They also shot down three V-1 flying bombs.

The Czech Defence Attaché of the Czech Embassy in London, Colonel Jiří Svatoš, congratulated Colonel Nečas-Pemberton personally on behalf of the Czech Republic on the occasion of his birthday and wished him all the best and good health for the coming years.
