The delegation started their visit by meeting Ambassador Libor Sečka at the Czech Embassy. This was followed by a visit to the British Parliament, where the Deputies met with their British counterparts, Hilary Benn MP (Labour), Chairman of the Exiting the EU Committee, and Tom Brake MP, Spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats. Among the topics discussed was Brexit, the current state of negotiations between the UK and the EU, and the present political situation in the UK. The Deputies also met with Matthew Hamlyn, Head of the Overseas Office, and Neil Johnson, a representative of the Committee for the Electoral Commission, who answered more technical questions about the functioning of the British Parliament and the legislative process and organisation of elections in the UK.

The programme in the British Parliament ended with talks with the Labour Peer, Lord Anderson of Swansea, member of the House of Lords and a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The meeting focused almost exclusively on analysing the current political stalemate and procedural issues for the functioning of the British Parliament's Upper House.

Over the following days, the delegation met the Director of the Broadcasting Strategy Department, Ian Neil, and Director of the International Broadcasting Department, Kathleen Stewart, at the Ministry of Digital, Media, Culture and Sport. The main topic was the management of public media in the UK, its responsibility to listeners / viewers and how they deal with balancing political and civil influence.

The Czech Deputies also visited some major British media Headquarters – the BBC, Reuters, The Times, The Guardian, and the London Evening Standard. They discussed with management representatives how the British media is regulated and funded, the future of printed media, and the growth of news in the social media age. The delegation also met with Angela Spindler-Brown, the Editor of the British Czech and Slovak Association Review, to talk about the specifics of the British media world.
