London was the last stop of Mr Topolanek on his tour de capital before start of the Czech Presidency of the European Council in January-June 2009.
The Czech PM Mirek Topolánek met Gordon Brown, the British PM, secretary for foreign affairs David Miliband and Lord Peter Mandelson, secretary for business, enterprise and regulatory reform. In the evening Mr Topolánek held a lecture in the London School of Economics on the priorities of the Czech EU Presidency.
