Exhibition: "Czech Painters of California"

The Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Los Angeles in partnership with the Belmont Village Westwood and the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles are delighted to invite you to an opening of the exhibition "CZECH PAINTERS OF CALIFORNIA," celebrating Czech artists who arrived on the West Coast of the United States from the end of the 19th century until the 1989 Velvet Revolution. 

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The exhibition focuses on the Czech artists of the West Coast of the United States who arrived from the end of the 19th century until the 1989 Velvet Revolution and features work of Hugo Anton Fisher or Frank Kočí, both of which resided in Bay Area. From Southern California are such names as Godfrey Vesely or Frederick Kann. Further, artwork of more contemporary artists such as George (Jiří) Karger, Jerry (Jaroslav Gebr), Oton Kovařík or Jarka Wilcox will be displayed.

The Exhibition will be on a display through the end of the year 2022.
