"Writing a Way out of Communism" Lecture by Martin Vopěnka

Leading Czech novelist Martin Vopěnka reflects on how, growing up in communist Europe, writers found their voices. What can we learn from their fictional worlds as we face our own troubled times? As he launches his new novel MY BROTHER THE MESSIAH, Martin Vopěnka leads us into the mindset of current Slavic writing.
