WHO CAN TRAVEL FROM THE USA TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC?

Entry from the USA into the Czech Republic is currently possible for fully vaccinated travelers(*) if they hold a valid passport - and a visa, if required - as long as they show no symptoms of COVID-19.

Irrespective of their vaccination status, entry from the USA into the Czech Republic is also possible for these eligible travelers:

  • holders of valid Czech passport or valid Czech ID card
  • family members of Czech citizens (spouse, children under the age of 21)
  • EU(+) citizens

  • holders of valid short-term (Schengen, "C") visas, if the visas were issued by the Czech Republic on/after May 11, 2020
  • holders of valid long-term visas issued by a European Union member state
  • children under the age of 18 if traveling with a fully vaccinated traveler(*)

(*) i.e. holders of a CDC Vaccination Record Card or holders of an EU Digital Covid Certificate, on condition that more than 14 and fewer than 270 days elapsed between the intended date of entry into the Czech Republic and the final dose, or booster dose, of their vaccination

(+) includes also Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland, and Vatican

Prior to the commencement of their travel from the USA to the Czech Republic, fully vaccinated travelers and other eligible travelers shall check with the operating airlines about their conditions for acceptance of passengers, as well as the respective countries' conditions for transit (COVID-19 testing, face covering, etc.).

A quick-reference entry/transit guide for any country is available on the IATA website upon clicking on the map of the respective country.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR FULLY VACCINATED AND OTHER ELIGIBLE TRAVELERS FROM THE USA TO THE CZECH REPUBLIC

All fully vaccinated and other eligible travelers over the age of 11 must complete an online Public Health Passenger Locator Form. They must submit a confirmation on completing the Locator Form when checking in for their flight to the Czech Republic, and upon entry into the Czech Republic.

All rules for entry and return to the Czech Republic are updated and published by the Czech Ministry of the Interior.
