Czech Republic: Current entry conditions for travelers from the USA

(This article expired 14.11.2022 / 20:15.)

Effective April 9, 2022, pandemic-related regulations of entry into the Czech Republic are lifted. Entry into the Czech Republic is currently possible for all travelers if they hold a valid travel document - and a visa, if required - irrespective of their COVID-19 vaccination status.

Prior to the commencement of their travel from the USA to the Czech Republic, travelers shall check with the operating airlines about their conditions for acceptance of passengers, as well as the respective countries' conditions for transit (COVID-19 testing, face covering, etc.).

A quick-reference entry/transit guide for any country is available on the IATA website upon clicking on the map of the country of your interest.

All Czech protective measures against the pandemic are published on a dedicated website of the Czech Ministry of Health: An information hotline on the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination is available by dialing +420 226 201 221 (8 AM-7 PM Central European time).

When planning to travel back into the USA after a stay in the Czech Republic, verify that your travel credentials make you admissible to re-enter.
