CZECH THAT FILM - film series is here!

The annual Czech That Film series returns for a 10th Anniversary feast of film from April 23rd - May 2nd, 2021, jam-packed with films and TV series of various genres.

This year in cooperation with Artinii, we are continuing our dedication to bring you the finest selection of new Czech films.

The 10th festival of contemporary Czech films brings a broad assortment of movies released in 2019-2020. These include the Emmy International winning TV show “Marty is Dead”, Academy Award nominated and Sundance winner animated short “Daughter” and Oscar shortlisted “Charlatan” directed by legendary Prague-educated Polish director Agnieszka Holland. Film enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy altogether five feature films, two TV series, four documentaries, one music video and four animated shorts. All films are with English subtitles and will be available until May 2.

The festival is organized by the Czech Centers, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ELMA Foundation. It is supported by the Society of Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles (SVU), and Finále Plzeň Film Festival.

After the opening which took place in the safety of cars at the drive-in event at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica on Wednesday, April 12, the 10th anniversary edition of the festival  is to move to the virtual domain. It will run until May 2, in cooperation with the Artinii Film Festival Platform.
