Call for Proposals: Local Transformation Projects

With the aim to promote human rights around the globe, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic opened a call for proposals for local transformation projects to be implemented worldwide, including in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. Therefore, interested organisations are invited to submit proposals by Sunday, 18 October 2020.

Under its Strategy to protect and promote human rights in the world, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic invites interested organisations to present their proposals within the following broad categories: 

  • support of freedom of speech, access to information, and media freedom
  • support of equal and broadest possible political and public participation
  • support of rule of law
  • support of equality and non-discrimination
  • support of employee rights and environmental rights

The application needs to be accompanied by a proof of legal standing of the organization (proof or registration) and proof that the applying person is eligible to act on behalf of the organization (i.e. authorization letter). Please send complete proposals and scanned attachments (please no attachments beyond the two mentioned above, all information must be contained in the application form) to the e-mail address petr_preclik@mzv.cz

Please remember: 

  • Funds are allocated to non-political and non-governmental entities only.
  • Czech financial contribution for the project is between 250,000 – 500,000 CZK (approximately 10 800  to 21 700 USD at the current exchange rate). 
  • The project has to be implemented between February and October 2021.
