The Order of Sikatuna with the rank of Grand Cross (Datu), Gold distinction, was conferred on the outgoing Czech Ambassador Jaroslav Olša jr. for his significant role in strengthening and deepening the cordial relations between the Republic of the Philippines and the Czech Republic.

President Duterte recognized the ambassador for his committed efforts in further strengthening cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Republic of the Philippines to advance peace, progress, and prosperity, and for helping to bring people of the two countries closer.

Accompanying the Czech envoy were Czech Deputy Chief of Mission Jana Peterková and Czech Republic’s Trade and Economic Counselor Benjamin Žiga.
