The 4-day program featured a wide of selection of fun activities, taking children and their guardians on a cultural adventure of arts & crafts, language lessons, storytelling, theatre, singing and a selection of other games and surprises. Children in the audience were from various Museo Pambata partner foundations.

The Czech Embassy Manila entertained the children of Project P.E.A.R.L.S. (Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, Smile) Foundation in the museum’s ‘Old Manila’ exhibit for its activities on closing day.  A short country presentation enthralled the children with pictures of Czech desserts, sports and its four seasons, capping with a few quiz questions to test their introductory knowledge on the Czech Republic.

Select episodes of Pat & Mat soon followed to the delight of the children. Pat & Mat is a timeless stop-motion animated series beloved by its fans - children and adult alike – not only in the Czech Republic, but all over the world.

The morning ended with an entertaining multiple choice movement game involving the 4 elements found in nature namely Earth, Air, Fire and Water; the challenge being the choices were given in their Czech translations of Zemĕ, Vzduch, Oheň and Voda. Shrieks of laughter filled the exhibit area as the children hopped from one multiple choice selection to another, eventually whittling down the original group of 25 children to 3 game champions.

It was a wonderful, collaborative experience for representatives from the Czech Embassy Manila, Museo Pambata and the children of Project P.E.A.R.L.S. We can only expect the succeeding editions to be even more exciting and more creative, as it continues to be well-received and appreciated each year.
