4th EU – Palau Film Festival

The 4th European Union - Palau Film Festival was a joint project of the European Delegation, the Goethe Institut and the Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, Finland and Switzerland.

The annual event was held last May 3rd to 6th, 2012 at the Koror State Capitol (Assembly Hall) in Palau. Evening screenings were held daily from 6pm-8pm.

Alongside noted European films was the Czech movie “Bobule” (Grapes). The comedy is characterized by an unending series of wild schemes and adventures of two young men set against the beautiful vineyards of the Czech Moravian region.

As in previous film festivals in Palau, the screenings drew in a good number of movie-goers excited about what the European film industry had to offer once again. The annual film fest continues to be popular among locals since its inception in 2009 under the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
