“Czech-ahan Tayo!” at the Lyceum of the Philippines University

The Czech Embassy Manila was invited to “Czech-ahan Tayo!”, a special Open Forum on the Czech Republic last 13 September 2011 at the Intramuros campus of Lyceum of the Philippines University.

Providing an introductory glimpse of the Czech Republic were Ms Monika Kazdova, Consul and Head of the Cultural Section and Ms Andrea Alfelor – Macaventa, Cultural Affairs Officer at the Czech Embassy Manila

Organized by Lyceum of the Philippines University’s College of International Relations (CIR) in partnership with the Arts and Cultural Affairs Department headed by Mr. Robert Hayden, the presentations and Q&A tackled history, culture, trade, tourism, education and current social concerns.

The afternoon’s program was hosted by Ms. Asia Cuico, Student Council VP (CIR) with the Lead Speaker’s introduction read by Mr. John Oliver Corciega, Student Council President (CIR).

            The informative discussions ended on a light note with a mini-quiz and the screening of a Czech blockbuster filmentitled Dark Blue World.

The Closing Remarks were courtesy of Ambassador Reynaldo O Arcilla, Dean of the College of International Relations.
