The Czech Republic and Philippines sign new Cultural Agreement

The Czech Republic and the Philippines have signed a Cultural Agreement today, Thursday, 25 July 2013 at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila. The Agreement aims to develop cooperation between the two states in the fields of Culture, Education, Science and Sports.

In the field of education, the agreement intends to achieve better cooperation through scholarships and the exchange of information between schools, in the field of research, and in the higher education system.

For development in Cultural Cooperation, both parties agree to collaborate in the promotion of literature, film, museums, fine arts, archives, preservation of architectonic and cultural heritage, and music.

Exchange of information from experts from both states and their encouragement for the cooperation between the government and the public administration when it comes to international sports are some of the measures that are included to improve cooperation in the field of Sports.

The Delegation of the Government of the Czech Republic is headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of the Philippines Josef Rychtar while the representatives from Government of the Philippines is headed by Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert Del Rosario.

The signing was done onset the commemoration of 40 years of bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Philippines.
