UP Los Banos is a leading university in the Philippines in the area of agriculture, biotechnology and other natural sciences, with the largest number of Centers of Excellence among all universities in the country. During the meeting with Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof. Portia G. Lapitan, Ph.D. and representatives of other colleges, they discussed ways of deepening cooperation with Czech universities.

UPLB has strong ties with many Czech universities, such as Mendel University Brno, Czech University of Life Sciences or University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno which just this week organized a symposium and workshop “Wildlife & Medicine: A conservation medicine“ in UP Los Baňos, together with Zoo Liberec, Tomas Bata University in Zlin and VPAP - Veterinary Practitioners Association of the Philippines.
