Five Czech universities participated at the virtul “European High Education Fair” (EHEF) held on October 2, 2020 by the Delegation of the EU in the Philippines in cooperation with EU member states.

The 2020 European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) is the first of its edition to transition to a virtual fair. With the theme “Study in Europe: The Future is EUrs”, the fair has embraced digital transformation by staging the much-anticipated annual education fair live online. This makes the event more accessible to Filipino students and members of the academe, while extending its reach to other provinces in the country. The EHEF is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, together with EU Member States’ embassies and cultural institutes, in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The fair further established the EU as a gateway to excellence in higher education. The EU is known as one of the world’s foremost hubs for the development of ideas, through its access to cutting-edge technology and innovation coming from its many outstanding universities and higher education institutions (HEIs).

The online fair featured webinars on research programs, sponsorships, and mobility opportunities. Country presentations and live chats with EHEI representatives, alumni, and scholars were one of the highlights of the programme. The Czech Republic country presentation, entitled "Studies Go On in The Czech Republic" was offered by Political and Cultural Affairs Officer, Ms. Amiel Jeremy Diaz of the Czech Embassy Manila. It provided an overview of the Czech Higher Education System and student life. It aimed to help prospective students make a more informed decision about their academic plans.

This year's fair was represented by five universities namely, University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, University of New York in Prague, Masaryk University, Mendel University, and Brno University of Technology with the latter three under the Study in Brno umbrella.

The fair was successful with a public audience of 8,000 students, 93 participating universities and higher education institutions, and 12 EU member-states.
