Czech UN Youth Delegates in Geneva

On 4th-6th July, Youth Delegates of the Czech Republic to the United Nations took part in the functioning of the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

The Czech Permanent Mission prepared meetings which were also attended by young delegates from other countries. The delegates participated in plenary as well as closed meetings during the 50th Session of the Human Rights Council. With the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), they primarily focused on the international humanitarian law, including its application in cyberspace and outer space. Consultations with the representative of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) were similarly focused, with digitalization and new technologies being the main topics. The delegates met also with representatives of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights with focus on cooperation with youth.
