Czech Republic at the 46th Session of the UN Human Rights Council (updated)

The 46th Session of the Human Rights Council takes place from 22 February to 23 March. The Czech Republic actively participates as a Member State of the Council.

In its third year of the Human Rights Council's Membership, the Czech Republic will focus during the 46th Session on its thematic human rights priorities as well as situations in specific countries. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Tomáš Petříček will participate in the High-level Segment of the Session.

Czechia will present and negotiate along the EU resolutions on Myanmar, DPRK, freedom of religion and belief. Other resolutions are currently being prepared.

During the Session, the Czech Republic will take part in the following debates and dialogues:

The Czech Republic is a member of the UN HRC for the term 2019 to 2021. Previously, it served as a Member during the first year of the Council's existence (2006-2007) and from 2011 to 2014.
