Ambassador Gajdušek met ICRC President Peter Maurer

Petr Gajdušek, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, met Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
At the outset, Petr Gajdušek appreciated excellent cooperation between the Czech Republic and ICRC and also all the efforts in conjunction with the 33rd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent held in Geneva in December 2019. The Czech Republic will implement both the adopted resolutions and the pledges accordingly.
In terms of humanitarian cooperation in 2020, support of Iraq and Yemen-related activities remain amongst mutual interests as well as Syria-oriented projects. In Africa, the Czech Republic focuses more and more also on the Sahel region.
