At the outset, Petr Gajdušek appreciated all the efforts and tangible outcomes of the UNECE, especially in the field of environment, transport and housing and land management. Olga Algayerová thanked the Czech Republic for its continued support and expertise provided by Czech professionals coming from Prague to various deliberations.

In the following discussion, both agreed that the UNECE should play a role in conjunction with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at regional level. Furthermore, the representation of the Czech Republic across the United Nations system was touched upon.
