Czech Ambassador Petr Gajdušek presented his credentials to the Director-General of ILO

Petr Gajdušek, the new Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office and the other international organizations in Geneva, presented his credentials to Guy Ryder, Director-General of the International Labor Organization (ILO), on 16th October 2019.

In the following discussion, Petr Gajdušek stressed the importance of the follow-up process to the Centenary Declaration adopted earlier this year. Also, he appreciated the Director-General’s efforts to reform the organization both externally – through the One United Nations indicative – and internally in order to make it more efficient. “The ILO’s unique tripartite setting needs to be fully exploited,” the Ambassador underlined.

Furthermore, the discussions touched upon the representation of the Czech Republic in the ILO Secretariat and upon the projects operated in Moldova within the development cooperation partnership between the ILO and the Czech Republic.
