Czech Republic donated $250 thousand to fight against coronavirus

The Czech Republic decided to join in global efforts in the fight against coronavirus COVID-19 and made a contribution of CZK 6 million (approx. USD 250 thousand) to the World Health Organization.

This financial assistance was confirmed by a donor agreement which was signed on 26 February 2020 by Ambassador Petr Gajdušek on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Dr. Ibrahim Soce Fall, Assistant Director-General for Emergency Response, on behalf of WHO. The funds aim to strengthen preparedness and support the global response to the outbreak. The Czech Republic is among the first ten donors to support this cause.
